Crucea Tau

Tau sau tao este ultima literă din alfabetul ebraic dar și literă componentă a celui grecesc. Acest semn a fost adoptat de Sf. Francisc care și l-a însușit ca pe un semn personal.

 Azi, multi franciscani poartă acest semn ca pe o dovadă de recunoaștere, de apartenență, iar aspiranții la viața dedicată lui Dumnezeu după exemplul lăsat de Sf. Francisc primesc Taul ca pe un semn concret al consacrării lor.

 Crucea mi-a fost comandată și mărturisesc că n-a fost ușor de făcut dar ce a ieșit m-a surprins chiar și pe mine!

Tau Cross

Tau or tao is the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet but also a component letter of the Greek alphabet. This sign was adopted by St. Francis who appropriated it as a personal sign. Today, many Franciscans wear this sign as a proof of recognition, of belonging, and aspirants to a life dedicated to God following the example left by St. Francis receive the Tau as a concrete sign of their consecration.The cross was commissioned by my best client and I must confess, it was not easy to make but what came out surprised me!
